My Purpose For This Blog

This blog is part of my healing journey.  If I can help someone else along the way in their journey; then that's a bonus.  It's hard to think that I would be of much help, but hey, even company along the way is helpful.  No one wants to be alone when the darkness threatens to overtake you, I know I don't.  If you've suffered abuse and are alone please consider this blog my hand held out to you in the darkness.  Grab on and we can scramble forward together.

Another thing is, I would love to connect with others who have been abused by the same teacher I was and see if we can't get a bit of justice on earth.  I'm thinking that would be a heavy duty part of the healing process.  I'd love to post his picture here, but I suspect I might run into a bit of legal trouble if I did so.  Too bad, aye.

So as part of my healing journey I pretty much say it like it is.  As far as God and the Bible goes, that gives me a lot of trouble.  It's all tangled up with the abuse I experienced, so I'm screwed up in the relationship side with God.  My doctrine has shifted from semi-pelagian (IFB-independent fundamental baptist) to a paedo baptism and  paedo communion(baptize babies and give them communion as soon as they are eating at the table at home) reformed church.  It's a major doctrinal change and little by little other areas are changing too.  I know that a lot of abuse survivors don't do church or have anything to do with God.  I definitely get that!  This is an area I'm trying to work through and I'm in a place in my journey on this topic that I'll more than likely make everyone mad, so cut me some slack because this is a journey, and I haven't arrived at the end yet.  And besides, you'll have front row seats to some of the inner rants that would make the atheists cheer, and others that would gladden the hearts of my reformed friends.  What could be more fun than that? ;)

Feel free to join the conversation with me, myself and I. ;)
I'm planning being more consistent in my blogging, so I'll actually be around to converse with.
